actually being out of tea
being too lazy to get up and make more tea

My mom washed my little sister's hat that I made.

In the washing machine.
I made the hat out of handspun yarn.
That I spun.
From roving from someone who no longer dyes.
I have no gif to properly express my anguish.
This is the most sad story ever. ;__;

I spun one and a half batts today. Then I decided that my fiber stash was looking a little low, so I spent $120 on more batts. This spinning wheel is great, and it’s so fast compared to a drop spindle! :D but I’m not going to have any money left for anything else, because I’m going to be buying fiber all the time so I can have stuff to spin with.

Operating a screwdriver isn’t a guy thing. You can do this. Just keep at it.
Yeah, I know it isn’t.. but I was a bit confused so I called my dad and he said that I shouldn’t try and force it because I might strip the screw, and then I’d really be in a mess. So, I’m just going to wait...

Follow the instructions. Meanwhile get a screw hook, 12” piece of 3/8” wood dowel, rubber grommet from home depot and 2 old CDs. Make a spindle and spin something. My girls and I have never used a wheel.
yeah, I’ve used a drop spindle for the past year or so. It’s really lovely, but...
I can’t even explain. I’ve been wanting to spin since I was 14. I’ve been waiting for weeks to take this spinning class. I get a cute little Ashford Traveler, and I get home to assemble it, and I can’t figure out to do because I don’t know what to do with screwdrivers. And this spinning wheel that I’ve wanted for years is sitting around the living room in...
So I wrote this pattern for a baby owl.. probably about 3 years ago? It’s not even a really stunning pattern or anything, it just sorta looks cute, and I guess people ended up liking it. Quite a few people ended up making it on ravelry, which was really flattering. Even more flattering is the fact that someone just translated it into French for me. :D
I can’t even make a herringbone stitch without messing up.
